We are fundraising to give our kids safe spaces to learn, grow, and dream big!

I believe, just like you, that every child deserves a safe, supportive space to learn, grow, and discover their potential- inside and outside the school walls- so when Eastside residents shared concerns of children without fun, supervised places outside of home or school, we stepped in and created Covington Sparks.

Covington Sparks and Sparks in the Park provide a third space where kids can find creative outlets, physical activity, hands-on learning, and most importantly, community. We started by focusing on elementary aged kids and built a program and a place that excites them and brings them back week after week.

Will you help us raise the bar?

We know that middle school and high school youth in Covington are still without safe, free, and fun places to just be kids. Today, I am asking for your help. We have begun listening sessions with Covington teens and tweens to hear what they want in a safe, third place, and will be creating it with them.

When we were kids, there were malls, rec centers, places where teens could go with no demand to spend money. Spaces where teens could get together and build community.

With your generous gift, we can expand our youth programming to even more Covington kids!

I am excited to provide Covington Sparks and Sparks in the Park to Covington children. And your generosity helps us provide meals, fun educational guest teachers like the Newport Aquarium and the Cincinnati Museum Center, arts and crafts, sports and mindfulness every Saturday.

Today, I am asking if you will not only support Covington Sparks for younger kids but help us expand and grow safe spaces for Covington’s teens too!

Please consider making a gift so we can continue to support Covington kids.

A gift of $25, $50, $100, or more goes a long way to build positive spaces for our kids. Together, we can continue offering Covington’s youth a safe place to learn, grow, and dream big.

Sincerely,

Shannon Ratterman
